SURFS UP!
With world-class surf breaks and some of the most consistent surf in the country, Raglan is a hot-spot for surf enthusiasts. Choose from Ngarunui (Ocean) Beach, Manu Bay, Whale Bay or Ruapuke.
Bush & Waterfall Walk
Five minutes walk from the Nikau café is the bush and waterfall walk, a circuit walk with two sections. From the bridge there is a half hour circular walk and now also an extended walk to the nearby waterfall.
RUAPUKE BEACH WALK
Ruapuke beach is an amazing stretch of coast, a beautiful black sand beach with a towering volcano nearby. Great for a day trip, pack a lunch and go for a drive through Raglan and around...
WAINGARO HOT SPRINGS
New Zealand's longest water-slide, a hydro-slide, a toddlers pool and a nice hot pool. An outdoor eating area – bring along your own food and utensils for a picnic. Waingaro Hot Springs invites you to visit the virtually Sulphur free hot Mineral pools ( 37 deg C – 41 deg C) with all poolside canopies. Located only 24 km’s west of Ngaruawahia, nestled in a beautiful valley in the Waingaro hills, in a park-like setting.
NIKAU CAVE
Nikau Cave is one of New Zealand’s most pristine limestone caves and offers visitors a visual feast of thousands of glow-worms and beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations. NIKAU CAVE: 30min Drive
A BREATHTAKING WATERFALL
The Bridal Veil Waterfall Walk is a medium .5km walk. It'll take you around 20mins to get to the bottom and a bit longer on the way back up. It's a great walk down the Bridal Veil Waterfall, but a good 300 steps back up to the top again. The water plunges 55Mt down into soft sandstone.
